Lost in the world of thoughts and dreams,
The wind blew past my ears whispering,
A chord of words unknown.
I looked around to find the breeze
But it vanished like the thin air.
Soon I heard a cacophony of birds,
They intended to hush yet they screech,
My heart pounded out loud,
The thud covered my ears,
The sound of a galloping horse was near,
I could see a lad riding the horse,
Oh! My prince charming, my heart muttered,
The man came to a halt in front of me,
Offering me his hands,
I could see all thumbs clumsy,
As I placed my hands on his,
A wave raced through my body,
Warning me to hold back,
Yet my heart didn’t stop hammering.
I sat on the horse and the
Tangerine skies suddenly blackened.
A world of darkness arouse underneath the sky,
The horse vanished and the man turned,
Into a fading shadow.
I found myself alone on a mountain cliff,
prepared to sigh and prepared to die,
Oh! I miss the tangerine skies.
I clenched my heart on my fist,
and felt like falling from the cliff,
Sweating profusely from every pore,
I wondered, would I reach back home?
The silence of the darkness,
Plucking my every breathe away,
Soon the tremors followed and
I couldn’t keep my grip on the cliff.
The mountain dissipated and
I was dropped into the freezing ocean,
I could now see the beauty of stars,
That illuminated the night sky,
The way out was still far of sight,
I could hardly swim an inch when
A giant squid pulled me in.
Oh! I miss the tangerine skies.
Save me, I pleaded or I would die,
The pain in my eyes made him cry,
Wrapping me in his tentacles, he surged.
After a long swim, he flung me out.
I could see a forest of lights,
I ran towards it and it kept going far,
Tired of puzzling, I sat down and gazed up,
Above me lay again the tangerine skies.
